Build an experience!
The time: Early morning.
The place: A quiet open field.
The task: Launch one-tenth of an once of airplane as high as it will go, and fly as long as possible.
The plane must launch fast and fly slow - all without any control from a pilot or a computer.
How can this been done?
With the FF-12 Catapult Glider 3-Pack you'll learn how.
In each pack you get:
-
The FF-12A, a high aspect ratio classic with an 8.5" wingspan
- The FF-12B, a low aspect ratio beauty with a 6.3" wingspan
- The FF-12C, an out of this world canard with an 8.5" main wing
- A detailed six-page instruction manual.
Each plane is similar, yet different. All have the same size main wing and the same size horizontal tail/canard. Which flies best?
You do the test!
The FF-12A, FF-12B and FF-12C are designed to provide experience in:
- Building good flying catapult gliders
- Testing and adjusting
- Launch techniques
Builders have their choice building of out-of-the-box flyers or experimenting and modifying.
Out of the box you get three different planes that all fly well.
If you're new to catapult and want to learn the basics, these planes provide a solid
foundation for learning how to trim (adjust) a catapult glider. You'll start with a
known quantity from which to make the subtle changes that turn a good flight into a great one.
If you want to move over to the experimental side, try different wing angles and balance points.
Can you make *your* FF-12 fly better than stock?
Of course, if you just want to have fun... well, what's more fun than a handful of airplanes?
